Revolving screens for the separation of solid particles (screenings) from sewage are designed for mechanical sewage treatment plants (subplants), primarily in meat and fish processing plants.
 |
Lambda screens are energy-saving- they are characterized by low power consumption |
 |
The screen is easy to operate and maintain due to easy access to its individual elements and a simple design |
Principle of operation
Sewage is transferred to the facility by a pump and directed to the revolving flat slotted sieve 1200 mm in diameter and slot size from 0.1 mm (the recommended size of 0.25- 0.35 mm), with the rotational speed of 10 rotations/min.
Immediately above the sieve there is a stationary scraping worm screw, so that sewage is transported towards the center while the sieve rotates. During this movement water is separated and the solid particles (screenings) are moved towards the center and fall gravitationally to the dumping funnel. Water free from the solid particles is drained through a hole 100 mm in diameter, whereas screenings are disposed through a hole 160 mm in diameter.
The screen is manufactured from acid resistant steel.
