The screw press of LAMBDA type is applied for de-watering and thickening of sludge coming from industrial processes and from biological treatment plant for industrial and municipal sewage.

There is possessed sludge thickener mounted on the press (in zone of inlet to the press). The installation is equipped with system for preparing and dosing of polyelec-trolites - flocculents that simplify flocculation and de-watering processes. The vari-ables of operation of the installation depend on kind of the sludge and on selected kinds and doses of the flocculents (or coagulants) and they are settled individually each time.

The installation operates fully automatically.
